New Type of Cross-stitch Patterns - Samplers!
I'm excited and nervous about this, to be honest. I'm finally trying my hand at cross-stitch samplers. What is a sampler you might ask? It's turned into a pretty broad term from it's humble beginnings but basically...

We're back with the next Overwatch hero pattern; Ana!
I've been AWOL for a while with my Overwatch hero patterns. There's been a few reasons for this but mostly it was from my recent burn-out of cross-stitching. But I'm back in every sense and ready with hero #24; Ana!

Huge shop discount for the month of November!
Let's get real, yeah? I haven't posted here in months, my Instagram went silent for 6 weeks and the Facebook and Twitter feeds are almost a ghost town. You might be wondering what gives?

Pharah and Sigma - out now!
I did it! Two heroes in [what feels like] record time! Pharah and the new, upcoming tank hero, Sigma!
-
Torbjörn - now available to stitch
I think everyone can agree that getting a Torb on an enemy team in mystery heroes is so frustrating. Dispite his small stature, he and his turret can be a force to be reckoned with!

We adopted a new member into our family!
For a while now, my husband and I have been looking for the perfect 2nd cat to join our family. A friend for our other kitty, Zoe, a snuggle buddy for him and a new playmate for our girls.

Grab the latest Overwatch hero pattern; Brigitte
You either love playing her or hate it. Me? I love playing Brigitte! [She] is a frequent hero in my repertoire (along with Mercy and Moira) so I decided to save her to be released near my birthday since I'd already completed the patterns for Mercy and Moira 😝

Old DMC Flosses & How to Replace Them.
If you've been an embroiderer for some time you will know how excited the world was when DMC released it's set of 35 new colours in 2017. DMC don't add new colours very often at all so when these 35 new shades of mostly greys, purples and greens came out, there was a huge cry of joy as they filled some missing holes in peoples' collections.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2019
In America, the first full week of May is called 'Teacher Appreciation Week'. This isn't a 'thing' in Australia (although I hear it is starting to collect momentum, which is awesome) so I've embraced it -like many other holidays and traditions since we moved to the USA- and run with it

Doomfist out now as 15th cross-stitch pattern!
It took me a lot longer than I'd care to share to design Doomfist's signature fist. It was too small, too big, too round, etc. I'm pleased with the end result, as I feel it matches the style of my Overwatch character designs, rather than completely replicate the hero himself in game

Moira, the sassy, sarcastic scientist is now available to stitch!
I initially didn't like Moira when I first played her on the Beta. She felt clunky and silly. Then when she was released, I gave her more of a chance and -as a healer main- she's probably my most go-to character to play, especially when someone else has already chosen to play Mercy

One of my favourite characters to play - Mei is the 10th available overwatch hero in cross-stitch form! Mei (and her robot, 'Snowball') is another character that -when stitched on 18ct- will fit into a 3in hoop.

A Reminder To Keep Only What 'Sparks Joy'
Who says cross-stitch -as an art form- is dying? I often see recent blog posts over the internet saying that cross-stitch is [basically] 'uncool' and is a dying artform.
-

The gun toting, cigar smoking, scraggly-hair stylin', futuristic cowboy. You can now get the pattern to stitch him up for yourself! A requested hero to stitch up, he is now available to purchase and instantly download.

How To - Finish a Cross-stitch in an Embroidery Hoop
Today, I would love to show you one way I finish my embroidery pieces. I'm not fond of the idea of using glue, tape or anything like that to finish my embroidery pieces, since I don't know how it could affect the fabric (or worse, the thread of the piece!) in the future.
