A Special Baby Announcement Gift
Back in August 2022, I had the honour of creating a custom baby announcement cross-stitch for my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher, who had just welcomed her first baby into the world. This piece was such a joy to work on, and I’m thrilled to finally share it with you!
The design features a sweet crib scene at the centre, surrounded by a delicate floral wreath. I personalised it with the baby’s name, birth date, and weight, adding those final touches that make it truly one-of-a-kind. The soft purples and whites were chosen to give the piece a timeless and elegant feel, perfect for a nursery.

- The Floral Wreath: The white roses and greenery added a touch of texture and beauty. They were created with freestyle embroidery stitches such as the stem stitch, cast-on stitch and fishbone stitch for extra dimension.
