Better late than never!
Well, it's been a bit too long since this post should have happened, but here we are. Finally!
June was a crazy busy month -as per usual- as it was the end of school for my kids and both of my girls' birthdays. But aside from those big things, I did get up to some stitchy stuff! So let's have a quick recap, shall we?
Miscellaneous TLK things
I had a few stitchy-related/Two Little Kits -ish things happen during June, so I figured I'd bundle them all together. Why not - it's my blog. I can do what I want..! 😝
Two Little Kits T-shirt
My youngest daughter was asking me for a few weeks if she could get her own t-shirt with my logo on it, after my husband also received one to wear.
I umm'd and ahh'd about whether I should, since she will eventually grow out of it. But knowing I can get samplers of my merch and apparel and weighing up how enthused she was about the idea of it, I just had to get her one.
I'm so glad I did. I ordered a bit of a larger size so it should last at her least a year of growing and I used the opportunity to see how full-colour embroidery would look. It's awesome!
New Haul
I ordered some new needleminders from GingerStitchAU which arrived so quickly (considering they were delivered from Australia!).
I'm obsessed! My favourite painting is "The Starry Night" by Van Gogh, so I had to get that one. I also love the look of the leaf, the gold embroidery hoop is darling, the kangaroo was part of a donation they were running and the Princess Peach one is just bomb!
This is the second order I've made with this shop. I definitely recommend their needleminders!
Works in progress
I didn't work on too many different projects during June, but did put a lot of work into the ones I did stitch! Check out the two WIPs!
As you can see when compared to my May 2023 wrap-up post, I got a heap done on these two pieces. Especially the Greenhouse of Oddities - which honestly, feels really good. Won't lie.
Finished Piece
Oh man, customers who are patient and trust the process. They're just the best; am I right?

"Abundance"
Liza was the winner of a competition I held earlier this year and was excited to get her little family stitched up. I powered through about 85% of the piece and once I hit the point to stitch hair, I hit a massive brick wall.
It was weeks before I could push through and get it completed. I'm SO happy with the end result but it's so hard when it sits there, almost done, and you cannot, cannot, bring yourself to complete it.
So to anyone commissioning an artist for their work, please be patient! We will always be thankful!
Anyway; let's see some close-ups!
New Products
June was an exciting month and a great lead-up to my July release of products (specifically merch & apparel items). All of the physical items were based off my cross-stitch pattern " Floss Daily" and I personally think they're great! Especially the notebook, sticker and -of course- t-shirts (which there are two versions of).
I was able to get one cross-stitch pattern up and completed during June too, which felt awesome! It was a line of lyrics from a song called "Jericho" which, when I heard for the first time via Instagram, had me hooked on. The pattern is called " Outer Space" and is mainly a backstitching pattern.
Check out the things released during June below!

IRL
As you can probably imagine (due to how long it has taken me to get to posting this), June was a pretty hectic month. Let's see some of the things that happened, shall we?
Birthdays
Both of my girls' birthdays are during June (the day after each other, in fact!). My oldest, Charlie, turned nine and my youngest, Alex, turned seven. I cannot believe my big girl is in her final year of single-digit-ages and my baby is now such a big girl!
Both of their birthday days were pretty chill; although Alex did attend a birthday party for her BFF on her birthday - for the second year in a row. LOL!
Party
My girls got to pick what they would like to do for their birthdays. Alex chose to have a party at the martial arts dojo we attend (which was what she chose to do last year, too!). She had an absolute blast and loved being surrounded by so many of her girl friends.
Kids Museium
For Charlie's birthday, she decided she wanted to go to the kids museum that we've been to a number of times, just as a family. I suggested we invite a friend, but she didn't want to - which is fine!
At one point, there was a little toddler that was enamoured with her, following her around and handing toys and things to her. Although Charlie wasn't sure what to make of this, she kept saying the little boy was "so cute!" and "baby so nice!" which just absolutely melted my heart.
Social Media
Oof. Instagram posts. Few and far between and my growth over there has reflected that.
I'm doing what I can to give myself grace during the summer holiday period and promising myself that I will get back into the swing of things once my girls are back at school at the end of August.
Good news is: I'm actually missing posting over there! So that's a good sign! 🤞
That's everything..!
I appreciate your patience on this post - thank you so much! It's sort of weighed heavily on my shoulders, if I'm being quite honest. I really wanted to stick to this blog "project" for at least an entire year, so to not let myself down (and put the work I invested into image generation..!) I decided it was not a waste to do a quicker post. Especially since so many IRL things happened during June!
For now though, I am off to get some more stitching and [hopefully] so more blog-post-writing done. Until next time!
