After a long time of deliberation, research and soul searching, and over a month of actual work, I am so happy to be able to say that my website is re-done!
If you don't already know, prior to this month, my website was built entirely from scratch, by me.
In what I like to call my "previous life" (AKA: Pre-America move), I was a front-end website developer and designer. Since I first used the internet (back when I was about 12-years-old) I have always been fascinated with websites and how they were built. It's actually how my now-husband and I met oh so long ago..!
So the website that came before this one you see now was hand coded by me using Jekyll and Gumroad [as it's ecommerce platform]. And it was perfect...for how my website worked years ago. You know; before I had almost 100 patterns and merch available to buy. And although I did my best, I eventually grew out of it and needed to find an ecommerce platform that was more robust and that could handle heavy lifting.
So now I'm here. On Shopify. It's been a learning curve and I've had to make some hard-to-swallow adjustments, but I am hopeful it will all be completely worth it.
