Where is your next font?
So as you may have noticed, I still have not yet launched my next font, "Paige". For that, I apologise!
Back at the beginning of September, I hoped to release it by the end of October. Alas, writer's block and life got in my way and I was unable to achieve that goal.
Why wasn't it as straightforward as other font releases?
Because this is a much more complicated font that I've designed and therefore, I decided that with its release I would make an optional companion document that would explain how to create your words from each of the letters.
This has turned into an absolute mammoth task! I knew it would be big, but I didn't realise it would be so time consuming to create.
What a learning curve.
Future plans.
My new goal is to release "Paige" before the new year starts. But first, I need to focus on current WIPs first, since they are absolutely 100% time-sensitive. Those are:
- 2023 Ornaments (x11)
- 2023 Christmas gifts for my kids (x2)
I was also hoping to get back into releasing a new pattern once a fortnight, but I'm learning that that's not as realistic as I had originally hoped and was previously able to do.
What's next?
For 2024, I am thinking that I will set myself a goal of releasing one new pattern per month, but not limiting myself to just that if I'm feeling especially creative/productive. On this change, I would love to get your feedback so please leave a comment below!
The other thing I am changing up (and already have started to make changes to quietly behind the scenes) is a new/different membership model. If you're currently a member here on Ko-fi, you won't need to do anything and will be automatically merged to the new model, but just know that the change is going to be awesome and I am excited to share more information once I flesh it out even more.
