Spellbound Stitches Volume 5

The Bookmark Collective is Here!

I'm absolutely thrilled to finally share that Spellbound Stitches Vol 5 is here! 💫

This charity cross-stitch collective is made up of 30 incredible designers (including yours truly!) and is available from November 7th (today!) through November 23rd, 2025.

Each of us (see below who "us" is) designed a bookmark pattern inspired by a literary theme —mine being 'Romance'— and together, we've created something truly magical. Best of all? You can get the entire collection of 30(!) bookmark designs by donating a minimum of $15 USD to one of our selected charities.

💕 About My Design: "Ever After"

When Amanda from BAD Stitch invited me to join back in August, I was over the moon — and a little nervous! Designing within such a tiny, specific space was more challenging than I expected. I discovered that my bookmark stitched on 18ct Aida looked a bit squat, so next time I'll definitely go for a skinnier shape (regardless of what Aida its stitched on!).

That said, I'm really proud of how my Romance-themed bookmark turned out. It's a DIY-friendly design, meaning you can:

  • Change the skin tones of the figures
  • Customise the initials to suit you or your loved ones

It's a design meant to feel personal, sweet, and versatile — just like a good love story. 💞

I also went glue-free when finishing my bookmark, after researching heaps of different methods. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and I'll be sharing a blog post [very] soon about exactly how to recreate this finish at home!

🖋 The Designers

This collective includes 30 brilliant stitchers from around the world, all bringing their own creativity and charm to the mix.

I've included images of all thirty bookmarks below (and links to their shops/socials as best as possible), because this collection deserves to be seen in all its glory!

A few familiar names you might have spotted — I've actually stitched designs by some of these talented people before, including FlossyFoxShop, The Retro Stitcher, Una Buena Pieza, and NeedleLot Designs (you might remember those from my monthly wrap-ups).

🧵 Why This Means So Much

Collaborating with such a talented group for a cause like this feels genuinely special. The organisations we're supporting — from Doctors Without Borders to CIWA — do incredible work for immigrants' safety, medical care, housing, and legal support.

Knowing that our creativity can help fund that work makes every stitch even more meaningful.

Spellbound Stitches has raised tens of thousands of dollars in past volumes, and I'm so proud to play a small part in continuing that tradition.
