Introducing the "Stitchy Goodness" Zine:
15 Designers, 15 Patterns, Endless Inspiration!
I'm so excited to announce the release of the "Stitchy Goodness" zine, a project I've been thrilled to be part of! This collaboration brings together 15 talented cross-stitch designers, each contributing a unique pattern inspired by the theme Words and Phrases. This is my first time being part of a designer collaboration, and it's been such an incredible experience.
With so much creativity packed into one zine, this is truly a celebration of everything that makes the cross-stitching community so special.
My Contribution: "Be Yourself"
When I began brainstorming my design, I knew I wanted to create something deeply meaningful to me and my journey as an advocate for mental health awareness. My pattern, "Be Yourself," features the heartfelt reminder:
"In a world where you can be anything,
be yourself".
This phrase speaks to the importance of embracing your authentic self. I hope it encourages stitchers to find moments of self-love and reflection while working on it. Designing this pattern felt like putting a piece of my heart onto fabric, and I can't wait to see how it inspires others.

Here's a fun tidbit about my journey to creating "Be Yourself": It wasn't my first attempt at designing for this zine! I actually fully stitched an entirely different pattern before scrapping it at the last moment. The design was beautiful, but I couldn't quite get the wording to look just right. After much thought, I decided to pivot and create something new — and that's how "Be Yourself" came to life.
Although it felt like a setback at first, the experience reminded me how important it is to stay true to your creative instincts. Sometimes, a second attempt leads to something even better!
