The One Where I Turn 40! (Mishaps, Presents & Stitch-Alongs)

Grab your current WIP and a cuppa because this fortnight's episode is a bit of a milestone one - I am officially celebrating my 40th birthday [on recording day]! (Which is absolutely bizarre, as I'm pretty sure I was just in my mid-20s last week?) Aside from reflecting on a few wonderful birthday treats (including my recent tattoo and that amazing trip to Stitch-Con in Ohio) I'm also incredibly relieved to share an update on my back. After two solid weeks of throwing me for a loop, I am finally on the mend thanks to a much-needed therapy massage, which means I've actually been able to spend some proper time with my needle and thread again.
We have plenty of stitchy updates to dive into today, including progress on my "Life at the Cottage" and "Museum After Midnight" stitch-alongs, a confession about a major signpost mishap on my "Flower Prairie" DIY piece, and a mountain of beautiful confetti stitches on "Cat Dragon House". Plus, I am so incredibly grateful for the amazing response to my latest cross-stitch pattern release, "Carl's Creed" - thank you so much to everyone who has picked up a copy! I'll also be sharing a peek at the new pattern folder system I've recently set up to tame my digital and physical pattern stash, and asking a serious question about book-series pacing. If you've ever deliberately slowed down your reading just to stretch out the joy of a new obsession, please tell me I'm not the only one!

These creators produce a wide variety of content, including project updates, tutorials, hauls (showcasing recent purchases), and even vlogs that provide a glimpse into their stitching journeys.
