I Went to Stitch-Con and Got Recognised?! 🫣

Description:

Grab a cuppa and your current project, because we have *so* much to catch up on today..! I am freshly back from Stitch-Con, and my mind (and suitcase) is absolutely overflowing. I'm sharing a look at the incredible gifts, freebie bin treasures, and swag I came home with, plus the beautiful fabric, patterns, and needleminders I couldn't resist buying. It was such a surreal, wonderful three and a half days—including the incredibly wild experience of being recognised by six total strangers!

I also have some exciting finishes to share, including one I actually crossed the finish line on while at the retreat (yes, I got to ring the celebratory gong!). Plus, we check in on my current WIPs, including a sneaky look at an upcoming Dungeon Crawler Carl-themed design I'm working hard to release next week.

On the real-life front, it's been a mix of birthday parties, a quick update on my post-tattoo blood donation, and a classic parenting "d'oh!" moment involving Father's Day gifts that were completely forgotten while I was away.

Some things I would love your feedback on:

  1. I am completely obsessed with that purple fabric! What kind of pattern would you stitch on it? I'd love some ideas!
  2. For the Dungeon Crawler Carl fans out there — what did you think of the sneak peek? (And what's your favourite line or part from the books? No spoilers though, please — I've only read up to & including book 4!)
  3. If you've ever been to a stitching retreat, what was your favourite part of the experience? And if you haven't been yet, is there one on your bucket list?
  4. Have your kids (or partner) ever completely forgotten a special occasion or gift setup while you were away? Please tell me I'm not alone in this!

Thank you so much for watching, stitching along with me, and being part of this lovely community.

You should drop a comment to say "hi!", like the video, and subscribe over at YouTube or Spotify if you're not already so you don't miss future FlossTubes. Doing any & all of those things helps me out immensely and it's free for you! I LOVE receiving your feedback and seeing your support 🧡

FlossTube is an online community brimming with creativity and camaraderie, centred around the love for all things needlework. Much like its cousin, YouTube, FlossTube is home to a plethora of channels run by passionate creators, affectionately known as "FlossTubers." These creators produce a wide variety of content, including project updates, tutorials, hauls (showcasing recent purchases), and even vlogs that provide a glimpse into their stitching journeys.

I'm hoping to build on my little community that I've got by expanding more to YouTube and what better way than to show off what I'm working on and boast about my latest finished pieces?

It's neat to be sharing with you all what I'm working on outside of regular social media posts, like the usual over at Instagram. I hope you're enjoying my FlossTubes! Don't forget to help out (for free!) by;
