(Please note: This is a legacy blog post about my old Overwatch (version 1) cross-stitch patterns. After a lot of thought, these patterns are no longer available to download. If you would like to commission me to make a character from the Overwatch universe (version 1 or 2), please get in touch and let's chat!)
What's one of the best things about having multiple passions in life?
Being able to combine them to create something extraordinary. Something that keeps you brainstorming, keeps you interested and keeps you engaged.
Since it was released, I've been a fan of the video game, Overwatch. I'm not that great at it, but that's OK - it's fun, it's fast and it's (sometimes) a stress reliever.
I'm also a crafty person and since starting to make my own cross-stitch patterns earlier this year, I decided "Hey, who's stopping me from making all the heroes in Overwatch as cross-stitch characters?". There's currently 29 heroes in the game (more in the future, assumedly) so it felt like a bit of a big undertaking but… who cares? I'm combining two of my favourite things.
So what does that mean? Well, I'm happy to introduce the start of my endeavour to stitch all 29 heroes;
My aim is to release a new hero every fortnight and there's no rhyme or reason to the order in which I work on them. It's -for now- characters I think might sell better or heroes I enjoy playing.
So what do you think? Know anybody who might be interested in stitching these up? Want to tag along and cross-stitch a new hero a fortnight with me? Leave a comment below!
