Why I Unpicked Part of My Finished Piece + Big, Exciting News!
Description:
We're back with more stitchy goodness! This past fortnight has been a bit of a whirlwind here. Between mid-winter break with my girls and two days of beautiful snowfall, I've had plenty of time to huddle up with my stitching. I finally finished the Flower Dragon Meadow SAL, and after a little bit of "frog therapy" on a strawberry dragon, I am absolutely in love with the new yellow replacement. Plus, I have a brand new pattern release to share: "Boy Band", inspired by the Saja Boys (from "K-Pop Demon Hunters"). It's full of fire, fashion, and beautiful colours!
We're also checking in on a mountain of WIPs, from the slow "reveal" of the "Fairytale" HAED SAL to some of the final stitches on my "Zodiac: Pisces" pattern, which completes the entire series! I've also been doing some 'retail therapy' with a haul from nathnolu and FlossyFoxShop — because one can never have too many patterns in their stash.
The biggest news of all? I'm headed to Stitch-Con this June! I'm already dreaming about my travel projects and what to pack.
Some things I would love your feedback on:
- I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new "Boy Band" pattern and the progress on "Deserving Joy" — do they feel like something you'd add to your stash? Also, did I make the right call on the dragon recolour, or would you have left the red one in?
- Are any of you joining me in the 2026 Fairytale HAED stitch-along? How are you finding all that confetti so far — is it a struggle or a satisfying 'reveal' for you?

FlossTube is an online community brimming with creativity and camaraderie, centred around the love for all things needlework. Much like its cousin, YouTube, FlossTube is home to a plethora of channels run by passionate creators, affectionately known as "FlossTubers." These creators produce a wide variety of content, including project updates, tutorials, hauls (showcasing recent purchases), and even vlogs that provide a glimpse into their stitching journeys.
I'm hoping to build on my little community that I've got by expanding more to YouTube and what better way than to show off what I'm working on and boast about my latest finished pieces?
