A WIP Heavy Update, Flow State, and the Final Zodiac
Description:
It has been a very work-in-progress-heavy fortnight around here! Between finding a sudden flow state with a brand new design and making some serious headway on the new "Post-Apocalypse Fantasy" piece, my needle has hardly had a rest. I also share the bittersweet joy of finally releasing "Zodiac: Pisces," which marks the completion of my year-long Zodiac series. It’s a lovely feeling to see a long-term project reach the finish line.
Beyond the hoops, life has been a bit of a mixed bag. I’ve been dealing with some frustrating computer issues and a rather literal "ouch" moment after trying a new skincare product. I even had my very first encounter with being pulled over by the police for something incredibly silly!
Despite the IRL hiccups, the stitching has been a grounding constant, from the fiddly feathers of a peacock to the slow growth of my HAED.
Some things I would love your feedback on:
- Now that the individual signs are finished, how would you like to see a "Zodiac Series Overall" pattern? Should it be a single large layout, and do you think it’s something I should offer as a free resource for the community?
- I’ve been musing about a video showing every single WIP I have—active or tucked away. Is a "WIP Parade" something you’d enjoy watching, or do you prefer sticking to the active rotations?
- I went from idea to full design to first stitches in a single day this week. When was the last time you felt that "flow state" where you just couldn't put the needle down?
- Since I had my first (and hopefully last!) silly run-in with the police, I’d love to know: what’s the most "how did this happen?" moment you’ve had lately?

FlossTube is an online community brimming with creativity and camaraderie, centred around the love for all things needlework. Much like its cousin, YouTube, FlossTube is home to a plethora of channels run by passionate creators, affectionately known as "FlossTubers." These creators produce a wide variety of content, including project updates, tutorials, hauls (showcasing recent purchases), and even vlogs that provide a glimpse into their stitching journeys.
I'm hoping to build on my little community that I've got by expanding more to YouTube and what better way than to show off what I'm working on and boast about my latest finished pieces?
